Are you tired of the lecture style CEU presentations? Or the video recordings that are impersonal that you struggle to watch? Or giant events that make it hard to connect to other therapists? Me too.

That’s why I took it upon myself to create the kind of CEU experience that I’d want to attend. I want to expand the “boutique” side of CEUs (there really aren’t many places that are doing this across the country) without totally breaking the bank.

What do I mean by boutique? Well, when you look up the definition, here are the main common threads and h0w this training fits:

  • Typically a small business (you don’t get much smaller than a one woman show)

  • Have specialized or niche offerings (eating disorders)

  • More personalized and hands on (check out the CEU Highlights below!)

  • Often have higher quality goods/services (check out the CEU Highlights below!)

Eating disorders are everywhere (1 in 11 people) and the rates are on the rise. There’s a really good chance that someone on your caseload meets criteria for an eating disorder right now. Despite this, the vast majority of undergrad and graduate programs barely touch on it. I know the only reason a single class of mine in my graduate program remotely discussed it was because I told them I was specializing in eating disorders.

So, there’s a big gap in our profession and I created the course to be an introductory bridge into eating disorders. Not so you can specialize in it (although if you want to, yay!), but give you the tools to navigate when it does happen.

CEU Highlights

  • an elevated sandwich and fries in a catered box

    Lunch and Networking

You will be provided with a catered lunch and have dedicated 30 minutes of time to talk and network with other attendees! So bring some of your business cards to share all around!

  • Fully Interactive

There will be LOTS of chances to actually participate and to have amazing discussions with each other over the presented material. You will get a chance to work in even smaller groups with specific case vignettes going over scenarios that could happen to anyone.

  • several different kinds of plants in a hanging water propagation station with larger plants in the background

    Elevated Extras

You will receive a few, nicer and very usable extras (if I do say so myself). Not just your standard slide deck and copies of resources, but items you will actually use either at home or in your office. The slides and resources will be provided in a more durable format.

  • An illuminated light bulb with coil visible standing upright on top of an old looking leather bound book

    Small, Intimate Group

I want to really provide the opportunity for everyone to get a chance to ask their questions, speak to each other and myself as much as they want, go deeper in this training, and individualize it as much as participants want. The best way to do that is to keep the training small, only 25 people.
